not much of a story here, got this guy opening day of rifle. I spotted him with a doe about noon, and watched him for a while as he didn't seem too concerned about me. I had to look several times at his rack as the forked tines really had me second guessing wether or not he was a muley. Once i got a good look at him (his rear end) i decided to squeeze and he was down.
Sorry no good field pics, was by myself and exhausted from dragging him to the truck.
I enjoy hunting and get out as much as i can. Unable to spend quality time spotting etc, i realy rely on a lot of luck, and this guy sure made it easy for me.
Just wondering what some of your thoughts are on this odd looking rack. How common is this type of forking on whitetails?
