fun two hours

I was supposed to be working today but they cancled yesterday cause all the materials were not in place...so im thinkin, yea baby, nice timing for the river...:thumbs_up
well in my excitement of an early start my wife overheard me talkin to timmy bout hitting the river for some trolling early and let me know that she cancled the babysitter cause i said that work cancled, so long story short, my full day on the water plans got condensed to two hours....:(

oh well, fish while ya can, hit the river by 5:30am and met my bud aj, i always start the troll off with the easiest rig that i have, which is just a simple rapala straight off the back while i set up all the other rig's with the planers and such.

simple as can be, bout thirty feet out

so while i hit the first stretch and started all the set ups i was dragging the one bait behind us and it starts hitting the bottom, which did'nt suprise me, cause i knew the bait was too deep of a runner to use, but oh well ill deal with that later...
so after no more than five minutes it gets hung up, but dragging whatever it got into, prolly a big patch of grass or something, so i idle down and start to real it back in, figured it was a log, untill i got it close to the boat, then drag started screamin....
oh yea baby i got something nice here...but im sorry i never got her in so all i can show ya is the pics we franticaly took just so we could show something, i had her right under the gill plate and the two hooks that were in her broke free and she slipped from my not so secure grasp...

oh well, you dont win em all, but the rules in our crew state that if you can get a hand on it, you get the credit, so she was mine for three seconds...yea, yea i know, i need a net, but im still trying to hang on to the no net in my boat jinx, but after today im starting to change my mind..
later that night me t-dawg and aj went to a pond we love and killed the lmb...sorry so long of a story but i needed to explain it...lol:D
