It would have to be the one on the right! That's a cool rack on the left but he's not positioned properly for the shot and according to BH's safety tips, you could hit both deer if you take the shot on the left. (see I pay attention!);)

Well it seems to be a doctored pick of already killed deer...but if I had to choose one I'd go for the one of the left.

I'm with Outdoor girl, the one on the right.

The one on the right is the...

Hansen Buck..
The world record whitetail shot in Biggar, Saskatchewan

With some quick thinking and some stealth moving, I'm fairly sure I can get far enough over.....
....SO I CAN GIT 'EM BOTH!!! LOL :wushu:
Yup, the one on the right is the Hanson Buck and the other is The "Hole-In-The-Horn-Buck", both dead and B&C record bucks!
AWESOME photo though, wish I had taken it! :42:

I am partial to the strange and unique when it comes to "trophy" animals. But financially the typical would be the wise choice there. That is a million dollar deer.

Tough call, but I'd take the story-teller over the money-maker, though I may regret that when the kiddies are in college!

That is quite the picture!

Not knowing the actual identitiy of each of the deer I would go for the the one on the left, why? because it would be difficult for a deer that looks like that to have significant if any ground shrinkage, while I could have sworn that I have shot typical whitetails close to as big as the Hanson buck on the left only to walk up on them and they were just a large spiker!

You guys make it sound like the "Hole in the horn" buck on the left, which is the world record non-typical would not be worth any money. My theory is that if this buck was alive and you shot it tommorrow that someone somewhere would be willing to pay more than the 1 million that good old Milo was offered. To the right buyer with deep pockets, (i.e. not me) it may be superior trophy. I know that if I could shoot a buck within 10" of the world record I would want to shoot a 323 7/8" non-typical rather than a 203 5/8" typical.

Now if a new typical and non-typical world record were shot this year which one would be worth more? I am going to say they would be worth close to the same amount.

I mean, I'm not that picky. I'd take either one of those bambi's! Also the Hanson Buck is 213 5/8 bigbuckcanuck.

in theory, both deer would be laying on the ground, I would be on my cell phone to the wife to buy a licence and get the hell over here right now.... in reality, I would have put two shots into the ground by my toes before I got the gun to my shoulder, and the third shot would sail high... I would be in the bar for the next 8 hours explaining what went wrong...the next morning go out and shoot a spiker just for spite.

I'm with touqeman I would freeze up and poop my pants if i saw either one of those monsters. But if i did happen to pull my self together, give my self a wipe, and squeeze off a shot before both of them ran off in to never never land, I would be aiming(half ass) at the Hanson Buck.:o

Hey! Is that a real tatoo, GREAT! I've got a non-typical whitetail skull in front of a moon adorned with crossed arrows and a leather looking thong wrap that goes around and joins on the inside of my right arm. The inside is real tender though. I put that on about 4 yrs ago. My ex is against tatoo's but I sure showed her.:-)))
