My buddy Chris and I went out one morning hoping to catch some elk on an alfalfa field. We were greeted with the awesome sound of a bull bugling. We waited for good light before starting to call. Chris set up on the edge of the field just inside the bush and I set up about 40 yards behind him to call. In less than 10 minutes this guy had came 1/2 mile across a wide open alfalfa field to about 120 yards. We couldn't believe he came that far with no cover and in such a short time. When you are calling for someone else there is nothing better than hearing your buddies gun go off. We were both beside ourselves with excitement.

right on felles some nice looking elk there elk hunting is the best love the calling action in the rut. had a bull come out a few years ago in archery season screaming the whole time , watch him for over 10 min never did get a shoot on him but justing watching him call and chuckle was amazing.
