I have no trouble catching walleyes in the spring and summer, not bad the first few weeks of ice and then ........it sucks; mainly pike and perch.
Anyone have any tips: smaller presentation, deeper water or favourite hook/method????

I am up for a few suggestions.

Winter walleyes can be tough after first ice. As winter rolls on walleyes tend to slow down and and stop roaming, they become far more localized onto a certain wintering spot thus to catch them it really boils down to location. As far as prestentations go a slowly works jig and minnow is fine but myself I like to aggresivly work a jigging spoon.
