Went out fishing with Osprey, Johnny & Terry today for a little bit of crappie and bluegill action. What a beautiful day to be fishing today reguardless whether we caught fish or not. What this day did bring us is a little fishing class 101 to two very nice kids who walked up to us while we were fishing. Johnny offered them a couple of poles to use and they did one nice job of catching bluegills.

This is Johnny helping this young lad prepare his hook for some fishing action.

I am not quite sure if this was his sister or not but she did very well herself with the gills.

Both of these kids were very nice and polite. They thanked all of us for letting them fish and they had just a great time. They ended up catching quite a few gills between the two of them.

And now the motely crue of menoutdoors. :time:

Johnny started out catching some pretty decent bluegills and quite a few of these fought like they wanted be a smallie. Don't know if I caught the best side of Johnny or the bluegill.

Terry was really reeling in the gills. These were so aggresive that one of them pulled off his plastic so he figured that he would throw just his bare jig head only in there to see what happens and you guessed it.

He caught quite a few with nothing but a bare hook.

Now there has been a rumor going on that the is a very rare sunfish that has only been seen once in the last 50 years called the upside down swimming bluegill. Knowing that these little critters have been seen less than big foot has, we knew if there was any chance of anyone catching this rarest fish in the world, team Menoutdoors was set to take on this unbelieveable challenge. We sent out our bloodhound Osprey to try to sniff out one of these rare species, because we knew that he has a nose to sniff out some pretty weird stuff, so hey, he would be the logical choice right?

And could you believe it !!!!! Osprey came through with this once in a lifetime fish for all of us in the fishing world to see. Looks really weird to see a fish caught upside down but he did it. Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you our true fishing hero of the day!!!!

Great job my friend, :you rock:

As always I would like to thank Osprey, Johnny and Terry on another wonderful day of fishing. Friends like these come once in a lifetime so we all take advantage of it. Steve, we will make sure that you make it with us next time but you weren't forgotten.

The kids were a lot of fun, I hope we see them down there again.
Next time with some luck on our side we will get Steve and Darth to join us.

I plan to be there next time. I could not get out until 3:00pm. It seems the pond fishing is the way to go at this time.
