I thought I would pass this on to all you hunters and camera folks. I hope you find this handy and save you money buying it. This is easy to do.

I wonder what we smell like to the wildlife?

Here is a recipe to make your own scent free spray

Step 1
Assemble the ingredients:

2 cups (16 oz) of 3 % Hydrogen peroxide
2 cups (16 oz) of distilled water
1/2 cup of baking soda
1 oz of unscented shampoo( available at drug and health-food stores)

Step 2

gently combine all the ingredients in a large bowluntil the baking soda disolves. Pour this mixture into a 1 gal litted jug such as a milk jug and let sit for 3 days with the lid on loosely to allow the gases to escape

Step 3 BOTTLE

Fill a plastic bottle that has a trigger sprayer with the scent killer

Step 4 WIPES

to make scent lilling wipes, place plain brown mutifold paper towels- the kind that come in stacks, not on a roll- in a small plastic tub with an air tight lid. Cover them with scent killerand let it soak in. Por out the excess liquid and replace the lid. Now you can wipe down boots, bows etc. and even neutralize the sweat you produce.

That sounds great but how do we know if it really works... Since we can't smell as well as the critters?
I guess that holds true for any of the commercially available products as well.

I'll try it early season taking photos if I remember this. If it works out, hunting season too;)

Sounds like it may be worth a try. I usually use WR or HS Scents scent spray for bowhunting mostly. I believe they work to a certain extent.
I think the best way to not get "sniffed out" by deer is to use the wind to your advantage.;) :thumbs_up

Certainly a good idea, those scent sprays get expensive after a while

That's a good idea buck1979. Another thing I do is put sage or spruce branches(depending on the area I am hunting) inside my sealed clothes storage bag. The scent permeates my hunting clothes and lasts for days. When I am done hunting I put my clothes back in the bag to "recharge" the cover scent.

I used to put my hunting clothes in a garbage bag with bar-b-que brickettes thginking the charcole would absorb my sent. I used the bricks that didn't light on there own, didn't think that a kerosene smell would be effective. Don't know if it worked or not but was an idea.

I like that idea. I have packed my hunting clothes in pails that I added popular leaves to .It smelt good to me.I still think the wind at your face is the key.
