Buck Contest

I have been thinking...and yes it hurts:confused:

I want to know if somehow we can have a BUCK HUNTING CONTEST THIS YEAR FOR BOTH MULE AND WHITETAILS ON GROSS SCORE ONLY


THE RULES: or whatever you think

HAVE A SECRET SCORE CATAGORY (it may be a 120" or smaller closest wins)

THE BIGGEST BUCK CATAGORY

THE SMALLEST BUCK lol ( there are meat hunters here and not counting button heads)

Now the prizes: (if these catagories are in there is 6 prizes)

Maybe we can get sponsors to donate

everyone that enters pays, a dollar and the money gets split up among all the winners


Just some thought here, so lets hear what you think. If there is alot of interest we can come up with details etc. and have a fun fall

It may be tough collecting from everyone, also once there is cashola involved there can be lots of "lottery" legalities involved. Its ok to bypass that among friends, but on a public website I don't know(the mods will though).

Collecting might be a problem, but i dont think so, just mail it, and its only a dollar...legalities??? if you dont send a $1 by a certain date you sit back and watch as you look down at your winning buck lol. We arnt talking big prizes. I mentioned the smallest buck for a prize, might be your son or daughters first deer.

Once we get input Iam sure someone will come up with good rules and fun for all

p.s I think there should be handicap points for certian hunters. Like if you drive a polaris, you get a free 15 inches added to the score out of pitty. LOL
(I have a horriable feeling that may bite me in the ass this fall)

Just a sugestion. I think it would be a good idea to have a big buck night for judging and scoring after next hunting season. It would also be a good chance to put a face to some of the names on this site.

Thats a good Idea , but being that would bring us into winter and roads driving etc, could be tough for many. The deer and the hunter pic will be posted which should be enough.

Remember this contest is even for USA folks thats why we will have the smallest rack prize:21: Seriously they could win the big buck, one never knows where it might come from.

If you want to make it fair to everybody just pick a score out of the hat after the season and thats your winner. Closest to the score and in case of a tie, the under score shall win. You can do that for all the prizes or placements. Not all states have big bucks. From what I understand, its very hard to get a 160" from Florida. Are you going to let RVsask play? lol.

Sonningdale big buck buck night makes macouns and arcolas look bad. Goodsoil sask had a big buck night this year there were only 15 heads and the smallest was a 167. the biggest was a 211 gross 197 net . all kinds of big deer.

I was this close to renting the SWF hall this fall and having a S.O. shaker and big buck night right after deer closed, but I didn't want to do something halfassed.

No reason why S.O.com can't put a wicked big buck contest and event on...lots of categories and prizes, but with the best prize for biggest deer killed ON TAPE...
I have wanted to put the best big big gamed event in SASKATCHEWAN for the last few years. I hope the strength of the website and its great members can facilitate a one of a kind event...

All $$$ raised would go a wildlife charity or to subsidizing another event.
