Are any of you guys fishing tournaments? I'm looking to get on a team here in Illinois. I talked to one guy I know that already has a partner and he will fish one day no pnts., no prize tourneys with me in Savannah until next year when he's willing to take me on as a partner. But I really want to do the tournaments. Do any of you know anyone looking for someone?:teeth:

I would recommend for you to contact your local bass chapter and see if they have a buddy program in your area. In Pa. we have sections just for this sort of situation and we enjoy taking interested parties, most of the time it is a young person that does not have the means to own a boat and it is a great opportunity for them and us as boat owners to take someone with us, sometimes you might even learn something from your rider but if nothing else it makes me feel good just to take someone fishing.

I believe BassBuster fished semi pro Bass tournaments, he might know of someone. The boat is the hard part.

Thanks guys! Yep, the boat is the hard part. Also, I would like to fish with someone for a year of tourneys so I can learn more before I go out on my own and embarrass myself! :p

Outdoorgirl,
If you are serious about getting into buddy tournaments I could check into it for you and give you some contacts. It has been some years since I have been on the tournament trail but will do some checking on this if you want me too.

If you can only do weekends this may be a little tougher. There are some clubs out there that do weekend tournaments but I will have to really dig deep for this one since it's been awhile. I will check into it and give you a update.

I would love to see more women get into the competitveness of this sport. The womans pro tour is a very good one for those who wish to get to that point.

Women are cool no matter what they do. I could watch womans pro lawn chair sitting tournaments. I have 5 sisters and have learned to speak there language. No offense guys but they are more interesting.:ghetto:

I was looking for bass tourey's and I have a customer that offered to be my partner at the ones in Savanna next year. I heard those are good for all levels of fishing. This year, I just got too busy with work....but there is always next year. Do you fish the Savanna tourneys?
they are certainly better looking then us men as well as have the same drive to do the fun stiff, i commend women for getting out there and doing it!!!

I'm retired now and fish Team Supreme and Savanna Bass Club only, but I have fished tournaments all over the US with many different outfits
for the past 30 years. Since I live here it makes sense. Don't have to
travel. What more could one ask for?
