My first sequel.:) It is just at the end of the season for beaver 's hides to still be good for sale. I had a day off, Jay and Zach and nothing better to do, so beaver hunting we go!:teeth:
Windy ( as ususal here in Sask. ), rainy and cool, sounds like it good day to float the river in search for some more bear bait.;) I had just set 2 bear baits the other day.The bait reserve is now low. There was no sign of bears in the area, but I am not worried. This is the 13 th year I have used these bait stations. The 12 prior have been excellent. I have seen up to 7 different bears in one evening at my bait.:o Nights like that, I am sure I have set some unofficial sprinting records on the way out of the bush!!:D Long story short, I usually have alot of mouths to feed, so I need lots of bait.
Having learned from our last river outing, the electric motor does not last long in that fast spring current. It was time to dust off the old Eska 4.5 gas motor. I had not used that since we took it on a paddlefish trip 6 years ago. And what do you know, it fired up after a couple of pulls!:p With the 6 year old gas to boot!:o We were in action. Very noisy action!
Without giving any of the video away, all I can say is we had a blast!:shade:
Warning for graphic hunting scenes.
