Well, decided to take advantage of the driest part of the day (after dinner) and try an under-your-nose spot with my wife, CK. I wanted her to get some practice with casting and retrieving, so I tied on a little lead head with a mini twister tail grub. POW! Fish on, strike, or follow up every cast! The kind of exciting action you like when you want to show someone who doesn't fish very often what there is to appreciate about fishing.

And for sunfish, these were not small fish, except one little darky I just had to take a picture of.....

They were all healthy, fat fish. Here are some of the others -- beautiful colors! (Gotta learn how to focus this new camera....)

Probably about 15 fish landed for CK, 4 for me (I was teaching mostly -- only took a few casts) in an hour. What a Saturday night!

If you can get her hooked you'll be set

That is one weed choked pond bro!

Looks like a lot of natural hybridizing going on there. Good pond for flyrodding with heavy leader. Those places need heavy fishing pressure so keep her 'hooked'.

nice job - cool looking fish. Those guys make great bait too, so you get two catches out of every fish :)
