If only you could pick your days off! ;) The sun was shining everyday while I worked. Come days off, cold and windy with a touch of rain:( Oh well, it is Saskatchewan after all.:) It was far to windy to even think of floating the boat, so we figured we would try our luck river fishing from shore. We knew it was going to be a tough day of fishing. And guess what ?We were right:D We did catch though:shade: It has to be really tough for Halfdoc jr not to catch;) We had many laughs and all agreed, it was better than a good day at work:thumbs_up :teeth: Hope you all enjoy this vid. And yes Osprey, I added to the winter bait stock pile. There should be enough for when you come down for a winter fish.:)

Great video!

Living in the metropolis of Chicago, I'm envious of your river fishing spot.

In the UP of Michigan, in some of my river spots, I also catch suckers and redhorse in many of the walleye holes that I've found. Sometimes when the walleyes aren't cooperating, I've made a fun morning of catching suckers.

Outstanding vid halfer. :thumbs_up

Are you surprised that halfdoc jr. is turning into a shutter bug?

Thanx for taking care of the bait. That's something I can't bring across the border for sure.

Osprey, I am looking forward to doing some hard water fishing with you. I also cannot wait to see what fancy cold weather gear you will be sporting, lol.

she was a good day. The rod breakage was the low point. We need to get out and do some more, before the season of the elk. Good vid, but needed more fish.

I might have a go at that sucker fishing if it cools a bit here. Actually will be trying for whites but I saw more than a few suckers at the spot I have in mind.

What kind of rod n reels you breaking? or using?

It's hard to believe ya'll are bundled up and we're still hunting in shorts! Looked like fun with the wind and such anyway. Have Jr. try fishing with a trebel hook with peanut butter and berry jelly sandwiches at that spot next time. Suckers and carp love it! He might just hook a big one!

Way to stick it out, halfdoc. And you're right: It's better than no video....
