Got out today from about 6-1030 hit the pond that I caught the 20" LMB at the other night, nothing doing. Debated on going to the fox but I decided to continue my recon mission. I got to the other pond just before the sun started breaking through the clouds. Second cast working the ole yum dinger lands me this fatty. I think it is safe to say that she likes bluegills.

Sun popped and that was it, tried senkos, spinnerbait, grubs, creatures, and scumfrogs. I got all but one follow on the spinnerbait. Decided to try a green gulp minnow and pick up this guy. Not as big but still a healthy specimen.

After that it started getting a little too hot and I decided to head home. As I was leaving I felt I was being watched, and I was, by one of the local residents.

It's hard to beet those local ponds for some great bass action. Some people travel long distances to catch quality bass, but some good fishing is in our own backyard.:thumbs_up

I like the Yum Dinger too! It's great for shallow water bass.
