Has anyone had success using a predator call for bears? I've tried it a number of times with no luck. But there are guys I've talked to that claim it works. Whats your take on it?

I have called in a fair number of bears in the fall with a cow elk call. I know there is calls for bears for the rut in May. I have not had any luck with them. I however have not really gave them much time.

I just bought a bear sound module for my pro series extreme dimensions call. I'm going to try it here in the spring

Interesting post provider!!!

I've tried calling bears about five or six times some fifteen odd years ago and have sort of giving up on the idea. The times were in the spring and the location was from around our bait sites using the rabbit in distress call from an electronic caller. I however believe though, that under the right situations, time of year (possibly the fall being a better time) this tactic could be productive. I've heard many times about elk hunters having called in bears while cow calling, so they will come!!

Wayne Carlton has some videos out that show calling bears does work..... one I remember watching was a video called; Call'n Bears - "They Come to Eat" http://www.gamecalls.net/huntingproducts/carltonscalls.html
