Ha ha, me too. I'll probably be using the old L22 until it breaks, I lose it, or die whichever comes first.

Knight and Hale Magnum Clucker cheap and works great. I also got a Tim Grounds he was demoing when I was guiding. But theres no name on it just his scratched in. There both short reads. Love the short reads.

I use a Tim Grounds- Triple crown and I love it. Takes a bit more air than other short reeds I've called on. I started with a Zink Paralyzer which was quite easy to blow and get good sound out of. My brother uses a foiles strait meat honker and it is nice and easy as well. Hope this helps

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I have a couple in mind now that Im gonna have to look into a bit more. Is there anywhere in Sask. that sells better quality calls? I would like to shop locally and not have to buy off the net. Only 2 more days and I will be in the field, have one picked out and it should be a good hunt. Hopefully the rain stays away for a few more days
