Deep Quarry Lake

A friend and myself are heading out tomarrow morning to Deep Quarry Lake in my portable boat to do some walleye and pike fishing. If anyone else would like to go and do some fishing tomarrow just let me know and we can meet up there at 7:30am. If not, I am sure that we will be posting pictures of what we catch. They will be closed from Oct. 1st to Oct. 20 because of the stocking of the trout for the fall. You know what that means, I will be out there in my boat again Oct. 21st for some good trout fishing, I can hear them sizzling in the frying pan now.

The first half of this video was shot there if you want a peek at the lake.

Maybe I'll check that trout thing out to see if I can get a little footage. It dosen't sound like very much fun to fish it though. What with a 1,000 or so guys standing around one little lake trying to catch some dazed fish that just got chucked in there the day before. Anyway why don't we hit the river for the smallies? I think this is best time of year for river bronzeback action.
