Question about the animals and birds in Humboldt area

Guys, can you please tell me about the animals and birds in Humboldt area.
I guess there are no pheasants, right?
How about grouses?
I have not seen a single grouse yet but I am new to this area.
Last year I spent in Prince Albert where I shot some grouses, would like to take my wife and daugther for a walk in the woods if there are any grouses.

Are there any rabbits in the bushes? Many coyotes around?
How about hare? I thought a saw once a hare (roadkill) but not sure.
I used to hunt them in Siberia, they are much bigger than a rabbit and behave differently, I enjoyed trapping them when fresh snow came.

You are right NO phesant or ruffies. There should be sharptail grouse (prarie chicken) and hungarian partridge, you will also have a lot of waterfowl in the area in the near future. Depending on the cycle you may have a lot of jack rabbits and there should be quite a few coyotes to the north where there is more bush (St Benedict ,St Brieux area) There is also quite a few deer to the north. You are in a good area for hunting for all of the above. There is a lot of elk in zone 41, but there is no season there yet, but it's pending from what i hear. Hope this helps you out and Good Luck.

I live about 30 mins away from Humboldt....there are Praire chickens in the pasture land and in the wild life land Around the Carmel and in the Dana hills. As for the coyote there are TO MANY in the area but i think that will go down some time soon because there are tonnes of Red tailed Hawks in the area this year eaten up all the mice rats ect. And ne other questions just ask

Till now I have been only to some Ducks Unlimited places but had lots of fun, my daughter shot her first goose, a snow goose. I also got a couple.
I am in Muenster, moved there recently. Wife got an antlerless Elk tag for zone 48A which includes 48 and 49 I think.

I have already see so many I couldn't believe. Lots of snow geese and dark geese already. Didn't expect snowies will arrive so soon. Never saw so many birds in other countries or in Eastern Canada, honestly. My kid complained she was almost dumb after hearing all the birds and all the noise they make Possum, if there will be more birds I am afraid I will loose interest, it will be not so challenging anymore.
I am just joking. Glad we have so many birds. Ducks Unlimited are doing great job, thinking about joining them.

O.K i need to ask why did you move form Siberia to Sask??? This great Province is blessed with all game some area's have more grouse, some have more rabbits. I think this whole Province come Oct is invaided with geese and ducks.. Yozers you wait. I'm just to the west of you . You know, Duke, Siberia was nice, but after USSR crashed I didn't like it anymore. It was a huge multicultural country in past, but then they started to separate, build borders, promote own languages, print own money, etc. Instead of uniting like Europe does they started to walk into opposit direction. Strange was also that it was not the people who wanted all this, people liked the way it was, nationality didn't matter, we were all friends. I decided to leave for Europe, spent 11 years in Germany, didn't like it either (too overcrowded, too serious). I love it here in Sask, climat is similar, people are good, law and taxes are reasonable compared to other provinces.
I enjoy every day, every time I drive I just enjoy the landscape, the area.
I spent 3 years in Nova Scotia, climat was mild, you don't need a garage or a car heater but after a while it sucks - no snow, just rain. When I arrived in PA everybody asked me: why would you move from Germany or from Halifax to Sask? I think people who live here just don't understand how blessed they are. No stress on the roads, no money sucking car insurance companies, etc.
And GREAT OUTDOOR OPPORTUNITIES. Went out last Saturday, shot 4 snow geese and 3 dark geese, my puppy lab is only 3 months old but already started to retrieve, I was so happy. Saw a decent buck when hunting geese. Really looking forward, hunting season just started.
